A. A qualified expert on property loss adjustment who you retain to advise and assist in preparing, filing and adjusting your insurance claim. Simply put, we are hired by you to protect your interests and to get you the highest possible settlement for your loss. You wouldn't go to court without a lawyer, you shouldn't settle a property claim with your insurance company without your own adjuster.

Q. Are Public Adjusters associated with insurance companies?

A. No. Citiwide Adjusters, Inc., is employed by you, the insured. We work solely on your behalf NOT the insurance company.

A. Promptly report the loss to Citiwide Adjusters, Inc. We will get the process started quickly handling everything from A to Z. We will immediately notify your insurance company of your loss and set-up an appointment for your insurance company to inspect the damages with a qualified adjuster from Citiwide on the scene. You must prevent any further damages to your property so if you are in need of emergency services such as boardup, water removal, plumbing or roofing repairs Citiwide will contact those companies for you. Most importantly, if you need immediate housing in the event of a major fire or water loss, we will provide that service for you as well. 

Q. What are some things insurance companies do to minimize a loss?

  • Apply under insurance penalties.
  • Utilize low repair or replacement estimates by adjusters or their recommended contractors.
  • Apply excessive depreciation or hold-back money.
  • Request inordinate amount of receipts or inventory lists. 
  • Pay for living expenses not up to your standards.
  • Deny claims based on their perception or interpretation of coverage.
  • Deny claims based on their perception or interpretation of on-going or "old" claims.
